“Baby Yoda” – the new Disney Mandalorian character that came into our lives and stole all the heard of Star Wars fans (and non-fans too!) These little biscuits will make you saw ‘awww’ the same way the adorable character does too!

I also love the pesto in these biscuits too, with that added basil and cheese, it really makes the biscuits pop in flavor.

Plus, this recipe is super kid friendly! I had some awesome helpers the entire time we made this dish!

May the Force be with your biscuits!

Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour, plus more for dusting work surface
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup pre-made pesto
3/4 cup buttermilk (at room temperature)
1/2 cup melted butter for basting (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Pulse 2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in the food processor once or twice to blend. Add butter and pest and pulse until the mixture is a coarse crumble. Add the buttermilk and pulse until the dough holds together.

(We also made some R2D2s & Vaders)

Turn the dough on a lightly floured surface. (I really recommend using parchment paper.) Knead about 10 times. Pat or roll until 1/2 inch thick.

Cut out shapes using cookie cutter, dipped into flour between each cut.

(Repeat by gathering the dough, roll out and cut again until done.)

Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.

(I recommended putting some warm butter on top at the end, which I did not do on the photos, to give it a little shine and extra butter flavor.)

See below, our super cute cookies we made from the same cuter too!
